UK Experience  -  Practised as a Barrister of the Middle Temple in the Uk from 1990 to 1999 – Was Counsel in the Chambers of Desmond De Silva QC in 2 Paper Buildings, Temple, London EC4 and was later appointed a Senior Crown Prosecutor for the UK Crown Prosecution Service in Central London (1994-1997).

Legal experience extended to both Civil, Commercial and Criminal Defence and Prosecution work. Handled significant cases of public interest that generated much media interest in the
UK – one of which was my representation of Damien Hirst (presently  the most successful and famous british contemporary artist ) in his artistic dispute with a sculptor , Mr Mark Bridger. This case was internationally celebrated and the legal arguments/submissions in the course of the trial was made the subject of a BBC television documentary aired on its Late Show Arts series in December 1994. I also acted as Prosecution Counsel in the kidnap case involving the PA to Bill Cash, the Conservative MP.  Also acted as the Prosecution Counsel against John Devereux, the UK national rugby player.  Prosecuted and defended several Fraud/Money Laundering cases before the Old Bailey and the English High Court.

Civil and Commercial experience extended to Legal advisory work in commercial transactions, financial disputes, landlord tenant disputes and litigation etc.


Nigerian Experience  - 1999 – 2001 – Legal Adviser & Company Secretary to
Diamond Bank PLc.
 Whilst serving as the legal adviser I was lead counsel in the negotiation and subsequent acquisition of ACB by the consortium of Banks comprising Diamond Bank, Citizen bank and Hallmark bank. It was the first of such acquisitions in the country. Was head of the joint committee for the failed acquisition of Diamond bank by ABSA of South Africa. Also served as a member of the Credit and Audit committees of the bank.

2001 – to date;  Private Practice – Managing partner of Chuck Nduka-Eze & Co; Legal Practitioners and Advisers.
Legal Advisory work for mergers and acquisitions of banks and consolidated complex transactions and negotiations. I have been involved in Receiverships and company restructure work, Bankruptcy proceedings, Syndicated loans and Buy outs etc. I secured the introduction that crystalised the relationship between BankPHP and Fortis ( Belgian financial group ) for the management of about $500m Dollars of Nigerian Foreign Reserves.

Acted as Counsel/Lawyer for the whole Anioma Community of Delta State in the Genocide petition ( re 1967 killings of civilians at Asaba and environs during the Nigerian/biafran war ) against the Federal Govt at The Oputa Panel Hearings in 2001. The federal govt accepted the claims in the  petition and formally tendered an apology to the Community.

Legal advisory work in complex commercial matters and disputes; and confidential Legal assistance in EFCC prosecution/defence matters.

Private and Confidential Client work for High Profile individuals.
